Does God insult His Servants? A young lover took a bowl to his beloved. The beloved put down the bowl, had a keen glance at the young lover and the bowl, and then threw it away. The young lover’s friend, who was a witness to this, said to the lover, “Was this all the ardent love between you two? Did you see how your beloved reacted to you grace?” The young lover said, “If she did not love me, she would not break my bowl. She wants me to pay my full attention to her, not to my bowl. I had unnoticed her.” God also loves us. Sometimes He breaks our possessions, like the beloved of the aforesaid story, and sometimes He bestows His kindness to the bowl of our being.
