Arbaeen, the epic of appearance 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beginning of mourning for Imam Hussein (a)

Like divine rules, mourning in Arbaeen has an outward appearance and an inward part.

On the outside, it is a pilgrimage; it is a physical attempt, a kind of love

that, as we see, becomes more glorious year by year.

From the first day of creation, God wants the name of Hussein to be propounded.

In revelations that happened to Adam (a) and the other prophets,

the occurrence of Ashura and Karbala is introduced to all of them.

It is in valid traditions that all prophets resorted to Ahl al-Bait, particularly to Imam Hussein (a).

Therefore in the books of other prophets, we can see the glad tidings for the appearance of the Prophet and Imam Zaman and also the news about Ashura occurrence.

The luminary of Georgian Christians, who participated in this rally, said,

“The person killed next to Euphrates who is mentioned in our books is Hussein b. ‘Ali.”

Prophet repeatedly gave news about the birth of Imam Hussein (a) and news about his being killed in Karbala;

that is, mourning for Imam Hussein (a) began before his birth.

The Infallibles recommended the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (a).

It is in Islamic rules that if someone feels health hazard or is financially incapable for going on pilgrimage to Mecca, he or she is absolved from this pilgrimage.

But this is different for the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (a).

His Holiness says: “You must go even if it is dangerous.”

Someone says: “Sir, we may get caught.”

His Holiness says: “Get caught.”

He continues: “We may be captured and killed.”

His Holiness says: “All right.”

He again says: “We may be tortured.”

His Holiness says: “Do not be afraid and just go.”

On mourning for Imam Hussein (a), Ahl al-Bait did not back down.

It is in traditions that if someone backed down on the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (a) and then died, his or her religion and faith would be imperfect.

His or her religion is incomplete, so is his or her faith.
